How to Know Your Plane Part 1

Flying The Crab Method during heavy crosswind.
In Crab method, you fly crabbing into the wind on the final approach to prevent drifting left or right of centerline.
As you approach, maintain the crab all the way down and just before touchdown, step on the rudder to align the nose with the runway centreline..and use ailerons to prevent drifting with the wind.

It requires judgement and timing to "kick out" the crab just before touchdown.

Large commercial airplanes like 737, will straighten align itself with the centreline on touchdown and keep rolling down the runway., but small planes will jump and bounce if it not perfectly aligned with the runway.
